Rubber Duck Nails

Hey, guys!
I have another nail art design today. This one is rubber ducks. I think it's super cute and I would definitely wear this!

What you will need:
1. A base coat - I 'm not sure which one I used because the writing has rubbed off of the bottle, oops!
2. A top coat - (Collection Lasting Colour: 2 Ice Cube)
3. A yellow polish - (Yellow striper)
4. A black polish - (Boudoir Beauty: Black Satin)
5. A dark blue/navy striper
6. An orange polish - (Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint: 317 Satsuma)
7. A light blue polish - (Maybelline Colour Show: 651 Cool Blue)
8. A large dotter
9. A small dotter
10. A tiny dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail and allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Paint the whole nail with a light blue polish until it is opaque.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 3:
Paint a line of dark blue/navy at the tip with dark blue/navy striper. Fill it in so that the whole tip is dark blue/navy. Make sure it is opaque.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 4:
On the left hand side of the nail, (when the nail is upright/the tip is facing the ceiling), paint two large dots with one of top of the other in yellow.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 5:
On the opposite side of the nail, paint a third yellow dot using a small dotter. This should be slightly higher than where the two larger dots meet.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 6:

a) Connect the dot nearest the tip of the nail to the small dot with a curved, yellow line. Using a second curved, yellow line, connect the smaller dot to where the two larger dots meet.
b) Fill in the duck with yellow polish.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 7:
Use the tiny dotter to make a beak. Release pressure as you get further away from the duck to get the shape. Don't do this too long. It should only look like two dots stuck together.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 8:
Use a small dotter with black polish to create the eye.
Allow the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 9:
Add a top coat over the whole nail to prevent it from chipping away.
Allow to dry completely.

How to wear:
You could wear this design on all of your nails or on just one.
If you choose to wear it on just one then you can complete steps 1-3 for the rest of the nails. You could have a straight line of dark blue or a wavy line. Like this:
I hope you enjoy this design. If you recreate this look, let me know.
Also, let me know if you have any requests. I would love to complete them.

Bye x

Cupcake Nails

This design would be perfect for birthdays or any other kind of celebration!

What you will need:
1. Any base coat - I don't know the name of mine and it's smudged off, oops.
2. Top coat - (Collection Lasting Colour: 2 Ice Cube)
3. Mint nail varnish - (MUA: Pistachio Ice Cream)
4. Silver striper
5. A different colour polish, I used a blue striper (optional)
6. Red polish - Mine came in a set that I can't remember the name of.
7. White polish - (Collection 5 Day Wear: 103 French White)
8. Medium dotter
9. Large dotter
10. Tiny dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail and allow it to dry completely.

Step 2:
Starting at the tip, paint one third of the nail mint. Keep applying coats until it is opaque.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 3:
Using a silver striper, paint silver stripes down the mint tip. Make sure you do this at regular intervals. It does not need to be neat where the mint ends as we will be painting white over this.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 4:
Using a large dotter, draw 3 or 4 large dots along the top of the mint tip. On top of this draw more large dots until you get a shape which looks a bit like a cloud. Make sure this is opaque with an extra coat of polish if you need to.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 5:
With a medium dotter, place a red dot on top of the 'cloud' shape.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 6 (OPTIONAL):
With a tiny dotter add lines of a different coloured polish to create sprinkles. You can use two or three different colours to do this or make them all the same colour.
This step is optional, you could miss it out and go on to the next step. Personally, I wouldn't do this step but you can if you want to.
Allow the whole nail to dry completely before you move on to the next step.

Step 7:
Making sure the nail is dry, add a top coat to the whole nail and leave to dry.
As you can see, the red smudged slightly because I was being impatient. Make sure your nail is dry before you add the top coat.

How to wear:
You could wear this design for a special occasion or for every day. You can use any two colours you wish for the 'case'.
You can either wear this cupcake on all of your nails, or you can wear it on one with the rest of your nails painted in the colours of the case. For example, mine would be like this:

Hope you have fun recreating this design. Let me know if you do!
See you next time, x

Cat Face Nails

This is such a cute design which you can wear on all of your nails or just on one. If you do want to wear it just on one, you could wear a plain colour on the rest of your nails or you could paint it block white with black polka dots.

What you will need:
1. Base coat.
2. Top coat - I used Collection Lasting Colour in the colour 2 Ice Cube.
3. Black nail varnish - I used Boudoir Beauty in the colour Black Satin.
4. White nail varnish - I used Collection 5 day wear in the colour 103 French White
5. A small and 'tiny' dotter. I have used a double ended one here with small on one side and a 'tiny' on the other. I got this from Amazon in a set of 5.
6. 2 striper brushes. Here I have used the brushes from my white and black stripers in ordinary polish because my white and black stripers have run out.

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow it to dry completely.

Step 2:
About two thirds of the way up the nail, draw two diagonal lines on each side.
Join these two lines with a curved line.
Round off the corners of the nail with a black polish. If you don't want to do this then you can file your nail into a round shape.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 3:
Fill in with the white polish. To do this you can either use the brush from the polish or the striper brush. I used the brush from the polish to do this.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 4:
Draw two small dots as eyes and a smaller one underneath for a nose. You can use the same dotter to do this but, to get a smaller dot, apply less pressure.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 5:
Using the tiny dotter, draw a line with 2 curves at the end underneath the nose for the mouth.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 6:
Use a black striper and press against the nail. Apply pressure and flick the brush away from the nose which gives a 'whisker' look.
Allow the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 7:
Add a generous top coat over the whole nail.
Leave to dry completely.

How to wear:
You could wear this design on all of your nails or on just one. If you do wear it on just one, you can wear the rest of your nails painted white with black polka dots. Like this:

Let me know if you have any requests. X

Dripping Paint Nails

I've seen this design in quite a lot of different places so I thought that I would show you how to do this design.
Let me know if you have any requests or improvements, I would love to hear them.

What you need:

For this design you will need:
1. A base coat and top coat. For this design I used a top coat for both as I have run out of base coat.
2. A white nail varnish. I used Collection 5 Day Wear in the colour 103 French White.
3. A nail varnish in any colour. I have used the colour red, however I'm not sure where it is from. I got it in a set as a gift a few years ago.
4. A matte top coat. I used Essie Matte About You.
5. A large and small dotter. I used this double ended one which I purchased from Amazon in a set of 5. If you do not own a dotter, you can use the end of a bobby pin for the larger dotter and the end of a toothpick for the smaller dotter.

Step 1:
Apply a base coat all over the nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Apply the white nail varnish.
You can use as many coats as you like until it is completely opaque. I used two.
Allow to dry completely.

 Step 3:
Use the matte top coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 4:
Using the larger dotter, apply a dot of red nail polish and slowly release the pressure you apply it with whilst dragging it towards your tip. This will make the line thinner. Do this a few times with different length lines and different size spots.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 5:
Join the dots together with curved lines using the smaller dotter.
Fill in the spaces.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 6:
Finally, apply a top coat over the 'paint' but NOT over the white base as this will defeat the point of the matte coat. It will make the paint appear 'wet'.
