Dreamcatcher Nails

These nails are so cute and one of my favourite designs!

You can click here to see the tutorial on YouTube.

Dreamcatcher
1. Apply a base coat over the whole nail and allow to dry
2. Paint whole nail white until opaque and allow to dry
3. Draw two semi-circles near the cuticle
4. Draw 3 lines from a point in the middle of the first semi-circle to the outer circle.
5. Paint three lines moving towards the tip of the nail. These do not have to be the same length.
6. Paint different coloured dots with different sized dotting tools on the top of the 'strings'. These can be whatever colours you like. I used light blue, pink and mint. Make sure you leave some black spaces.
7. Make sure the whole nail is completely dry and add a generous matte top coat.
8. Before the top coat dries, use a pair of tweezers to pick up a gem and stick it where the diagonal lines you drew it step four meet.

Ombré Nail
1. Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
2. Paint a thin coat of white. This does not need to be perfect because you will be sponging colour over the top.
3. Paint two stripes on a sponge - one white and one pink.
4. Press the sponge against the nail so that you achieve a pink ombré effect.
5. Apply a fast drying top coat to completely blend these two colours together.
6. Once the whole nail is dry, apply a matte top coat over the nail.

Let me know if you have any requests!

Pacman Nails!

In this post, I will share this adorable design with the pacman character and the monsters to go with it. This is probably one of my favourite designs and is really quick and simple to do.

Pacman Character

What you will need:
1. Base coat - (Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener All In One: Clear)
2. Top Coat - (Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener All In One: Clear)
3. Yellow polish - (Yellow striper)
4. Black polish - (Boudoir Beauty: Black Satin)
5. Striper brush
6. Small dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Using enough coats so that it is opaque, paint the whole nail yellow.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 3:
Draw a triangle at the tip of the nail and fill in with black polish.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 4:
Draw a curved line at the cuticle with a black polish. Do this with a striper or a dotter. I used the small dotter. Move straight on to the next step.

Step 5:
Using a small dotter, place a dot for the eye.
Leave the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 8:
Apply a generous top coat over the whole nail and leave to dry completely.

Pacman Monsters

What you will need:
1. Base coat - (Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener All In One: Clear)
2. Top coat - (Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener All In One: Clear)
3. Black polish - (Boudoir Beauty: Black Satin)
4. Up to four nail varnishes of your choice - (Collection Hot Looks: Hula Hoop)
5. White polish - (Collection 5 Day Wear: 103 French White)
6. Striper brush
7. Small dotter
8. Tiny dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Paint your fingers with enough coats of your coloured polish until it is opaque. You can do all of your nails the same colour or four different colours.
Allow to dry completely.
Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of this step.

Step 3:
Using a striper or a small dotter, paint three small triangles at the tip of the nail.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 4:
Using a small dotter, place 2 white dots for eyes. Do this half way between the triangles and the cuticle.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 5:
With a tiny dotter, place 2 black dots inside the right of the white (when finger is upright/tip is facing upwards).
Allow the whole nail to dry.

Step 6:
Make sure that the whole nail is dry and apply a generous top coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

How to wear;
You can wear this design however you like. You could wear the pacman character on your thumb then use your fingers for the monsters. Or you could wear the pacman character on your ring finger and use the rest for monsters.
You could use the same colour for all of your monsters or use different colours. When I wear this design, I like to use different colours as this really brightens up the design.

Let me know if you have any requests.

Prom Nails!

It's my best friends prom tonight and I just got back from doing her nails. There are a few proms coming up in the next week or so and I'm wearing my nails very similar to this too.
I apologize for the fact that I haven't taken pictures as I went but I didn't have time and was in a rush.
What I did was bought a set of false nails and brush-on glue before measuring the nails to the size of my friends and taking notes of the little number on top which matched hers. I then went home and painted them myself before going back and sticking them on for her and painting her toes.
This is a design that you can wear no matter what colour your dress is, simply by changing the colour you put underneath the glitter. For example, my friend's dress is lilac with silver glitter, therefore, she wanted silver with silver glitter on. Meanwhile, my dress is dark purple with beige-silver beading so I will be wearing dark purple base colour with silver glitter.

What you will need:
1. Base coat - (Barry M Base Coat, Top Coat and Nail Hardener All In One)
2. Matte Top Coat - (Essie Matte About You)
3. Base colour for whole nail/colour of your dress - (Boudoir Beauty - Silver Shimmer)
4. Silver glitter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over your whole nail and allow it to dry completely.

Step 2:
Paint the whole nail with your base colour. Here I used silver. Apply as many coats as you need for the polish to be opaque; I used two.
Allow this to dry.

Step 3:
Scrap most of the glitter off of the brush and graze it across the top three quarters of your nail. Allow this to dry.

Step 4:
Again scraping most of the glitter off of the brush (leave a tiny bit more than last time), paint the top half of the nail with a second coat of glitter. Allow to dry.

Step 5:
Repeat step 4 with the top quarter of the nail. Allow to dry.

Step 6:
Repeat step 4 for a second time with the very tip of the nail. This will give you your glitter gradient.
Allow the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 7:
Cover the whole nail in a matte top coat. It is very important that you get the top coat everywhere on your nails or else you will have some matte parts and some glossy parts. Allow to dry completely.

Application of false nails

Step 8:
If you have a brush on glue, spread the glue across the nail evenly like an ordinary polish.
If you do not, squeeze a dot of glue onto the middle of the nail and spread it evenly around the nail.

Step 9:
Use the extension at the end of the nail to line it up correctly.

Step 10:
Squeeze on the nail hard for 5-10 seconds.

Step 11:
Remove the extension by twisting and pulling gently.

Step 12:
File the tip of the nail gently to get rid of any sharp edges where the extension was.

Finished result

Tribal Aztec Nails

These are very simple tribal aztec nails which would look incredible on your nails. They are easy to achieve in just 9 steps and you do not need a lot of different coloured polishes.

What you will need:
1. Base coat
2. Top coat - (Collection Lasting Colour: 2 Ice Cube)
3. Red polish or a red striper - (I used the striper brush with the striper polish wiped off and an ordinary red polish)
4. Yellow polish or a yellow striper - (I used a yellow striper)
5. Blue polish or a blue striper - (I used a blue striper brush with the striper polish wiped off and Maybelline Colour Show: Cool Blue)
6. Black polish - (Boudoir Beauty: Black Satin)
7. Small dotter
8. Tiny dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Paint a blue stripe on one side of the nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 3:
Paint a yellow stripe in the middle of the nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 4:
On the remainder of the nail, paint a red stripe.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 5:
Surrounding the yellow stripe, paint 2 black stripes with a black striper brush. I wiped the paint off of a black striper brush from an ordinary black striper and dipped it in the nail varnish.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 6:
Draw small lines on the yellow stripe in a zig-zag pattern.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 7:
With a small dotter, dot black polish at regular intervals on the red and blue stripes.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 8:
Using a tiny dotter, dot black polish in the middle of each small triangle on the yellow polish.
Allow the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 9:
Making sure the whole nail is dry, apply a generous top coat and allow to dry completely.
Enjoy your design.

How to wear:
You could wear this design on all of your nails. I would do this.

Let me know if you have any requests x

Frog Nails

I am going to show you how to do these cute frog nails which would look great with anything!

What you will need:
1. Base coat
2. Top coat - (Collection Lasting Colour: 2 Ice Cube)
3. Dark green polish - (Dark green striper)
4. White polish - (Collection 5 Day Wear: 103 French White)
5. Pink polish - (Collection Hot Looks - 34 Hula Hoop)
6. Black polish - (Boudoir Beauty: Black Satin)
7. Large dotter
8. Medium dotter
9. Small dotter
10. Tiny dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

 Step 2:
About half way up the nail, drag a large dotter towards the tip of the nail slightly to make two dark green ovals.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 3:
Connect the two ovals together with a green curved line. Also connect them both to the edge of the nail.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 4:
Fill in with a dark green polish and allow to dry completely.

Using a medium-sized dotter, create two white ovals inside the green ovals.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 6:
Using a tiny dotter, paint a small, white semi circle at the tip of the nail for a mouth.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 7:
Using a medium dotter, press the dotter covered in pink polish either side of the moth on the edge of the nail. Do this using a clean dotter, (so no white polish from the last time you used it is still on the end)
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 8:
Make sure that the white ovals are dry. When they are, use a small dotter to apply to black dots in the white.
Allow the whole nail to dry.

Step 9:
Apply a top coat over the whole nail and allow to dry completely.
Enjoy your new nails.

How to wear:
You can wear this design on all of your nails or just on the ring finger. If you were to wear this just on the ring finger then you could paint the rest of your nails green.

Let me know if you have any requests, I would love to try them

Captain America Nails

This design is the shield of Captain America which was requested. I'm going to show you how to do it in twelve easy steps.

What you will need:
1. A base coat, I am not sure what the one I used is as it's very old and the writing has rubbed off.
2. A top coat - (Collection Lasting Colour: 2 Ice Cube)
3. Red polish
4. White polish - (Collection 5 Day Wear: 103 French White)
5. Dark blue - (Dark blue striper)
6. Small dotter

Step 1:
Apply a base coat over the whole nail.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 2:
Paint the whole nail red and allow to dry completely.

Step 3:
Paint a curve line close to the tip of the nail and a second curved line close to the cuticle of the nail. Try to make the distance from the tip and from the cuticle the same.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 4:
Paint a dark blue circle in the centre of the nail. Try to make the distance from each side of the nail the same, and the distance from the two white lines the same as this will make it look neater.
Allow to dry completely.

Step 5:
Mark five points on the blue in the shape of a star. In your head, number the points 1-5 just as the following so that it is easier to make the star. Then move straight on to the next step.
1 is closest to the tip, 4 and 3 are closed to the cuticle.  In the picture of what I have painted, the numbers are upside down.
 Step 6:
Join points 1 and 4 with a straight, white line. To do these lines, you could use a striper or a stippling motion with your dotting tool.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 7:
Join points 4 and 2 with a straight, white line.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 8:
Join points 2 and 5 with a straight, white line.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 9:
Join points 5 and 3 with a straight, white line.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 10:
Join points 3 and 1 with a straight, white line.
Move straight on to the next step.

Step 11:
Fill in any gaps with a white polish.
Wait for the whole nail to dry completely.

Step 12:
Apply a top coat to the whole nail and allow to dry completely.

How to wear:
You could wear this design on all of your nails or just on your ring finger. If you decide to wear it just on your ring finger, then you can paint the rest of your nails red.

If you have any requests then let me know, I would love to try them.
